AAC
Wall Panels are only one- quarter the weight of normal concrete and
have superior thermal insulation and fire-rating characteristics compared
to traditional construction materials.
AAC wall panels are designed to be used in either vertical or horizontal
applications in industrial or commercial construction and are individually
reinforced and produced to size for each project.
A fire rating of up to four hours (240/240/240) is available for profiled
wall panels of 125mm thickness or greater, in either vertical or horizontal
orientation.
Thin bed Adhesive must be applied to joints in a fire rated application
or where acoustic perfomance is required.

Panels
for flooring can be supplied in different lengths, thickness, widths
and load carrying capabilities. The thickness of slab should be in
accordance with engineers design calculations taking into account
the required span, load and deflection limit.
After the panels are laid, reinforcing bars are placed between the
panels in the recess and around the perimeter of the floor to form
the ring anchor system in accordance with specifications. The bars
should be supported on chairs or equivalent to allow proper placing
of motar.
Panels may require propping before placing the ring anchor
system when subject to temporary dead load variations.
The joint and ring anchor sections should be wetted, filled with minimum
15 Mpa concrete (max slump200mm) and rodded A4: 1 sand: cement mortar
is suitable. The concrete should completely cover the reinforcing.
The hardness of AAC floor panels is greater than the blocks. When
placed accurately and ring anchors poured carefully and screeded properly,
the surface is level and smooth.
When AAC panels are used in externals floor areas such as patios or
balconies, it is important to use an approved bituminous membrane.
The finished surface is suitable for applying marble, quarry and ceramic
tile or carpet with a quality underlay.
AAC roof panels are available in a range of thickness and lengths.
The thickness can be calculated from the load/span tables.
The panels can be laid with flush edges or with up to 1.2m cantilever
dependent on loading. |

Powerpanel
is changing the way in which many houses in Australia are being built,
and at about the same cost as masonry veneer construction.
The growing trend toward coated and coloured houses is reflected by
the growing number of industry awards towards this style of building.
The Powerpanel system is an inherently stronger wall and is an ideal
surface on which to apply renders or any of the modern decorative
coatings that are available today.
Other features such as quoins, trims and window surrounds can also
be easily applied to enhance the 'look' of your new home.
Powerpanel is manufactured from autoclaved aerated concrete which
has been extensively used in Europe for over 50 years, and is manufactured
in many countries around the world including Germany, France, Italy,
Turkey, South East Asia, Mexico, Japan and USA.
Put simply, AAC is a form of concrete which has been aerated and then
steam cured under high pressure.

Manufactured
blocks as well as reinforced panels that are used for walls, floors
and roofs.
When panels (including Powerpanel) are made, steel reinforcing rods
are welded to form a cage and placed into a mould prior to pouring
the sand, lime and cement mixture.
Some of the reasons that Powerpanel is being recognised as a building
system with a superior difference include.
- Strength
- Each panel has four steel reinforcing bars running vertically
when installed, as well as several transverse bars.
-
Quality - The manufacturing tolerance of Powerpanel helps
ensure a straight wall and provides an ideal substrate for the
application of coatings.
- Versatility
- Powerpanel can be installed to either a timber or steel stud
fame.
- Design
- Features such as quoins and corbels can be easily added to suit
any style in the design of your new home.
- Insulation
- AAC excellent thermal insulating properties are well known.
Powerpanel provides built in insulation that can be further enhanced
with the use of insulation. The standard Powerpanel system has
twice the R-value (measurement of insulation) to standard brick
veneer.
- Safety
- The high insulating factor and incombustibility of Hebel means
added safety from fire. The Powerpanel system achieves a 3-hour
fire rating, which exceeds all domestic wall-building requirements
and is ideal for boundary situations.
- Space
- The Powerpanel system allows a slightly thinner wall which,
over the perimeter of the house results in about 2% more floor
area for an equivalent brick-veneer dwelling.
- Style
- The Powerpanel systems is the ideal way to create an individual,
and affordable, style to any home.
